It all started when co-founder Jenn realized everything she thought she knew about MSG was wrong. Like many, she grew up avoiding it. Her grandma would ask for "no MSG" at restaurants, "No MSG" signs were everywhere, and no one questioned it. Then one day, a conversation with a friend made her stop and ask: why exactly is MSG bad?

The stigma was never rooted in science. It was rooted in cultural bias and xenophobia. A single letter written by a doctor in the 1960s spiraled into a media frenzy that coined the term "Chinese Restaurant Syndrome," and the rest was history.
